CAMBRIDGE LAB

Cambridge Lab constitutes a relevant part of Kids International School Curriculum: the school timetable includes 2 hours a week with a mother tongue teacher, with the purpose of taking Cambridge exams (Starters, Movers, Flyers) and obtain Cambridge Certificates.

During Cambridge Labs, students can reinforce the 4 main language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

These tests introduce children to everyday written and spoken English and are an excellent way for them to gain confidence and improve their English.

The tests are written around familiar topics and focus on the skills needed to communicate effectively in English through listening, speaking, reading and writing.

STARTERS: Pre A1 Starters is the first of three Cambridge English Qualifications designed for young learners. Our students will take this exam at the end of second grade.

MOVERS: A1 Movers is the second of three Cambridge English Qualifications designed for young learners. Our students will take this exam at the end of fourth grade.

FLYERS: A2 Flyers is the third of three Cambridge English Qualifications designed for young learners.

Our students will take this exam at the end of fifth grade.

On their certificate, candidates will see shields for Listening, Reading and Writing, and Speaking. The maximum score for each is five bold shields. One bold shield means that the child took the test but can still improve a lot in this part of the test. Five bold shields mean that the child did very well in this part of the test.
